FULLER’S PICTURES. Last night’s change of programme at Fuller’s was well patronised, and a splendid selection of pictures was screened. An outstanding feature is a magnificent production by the Edison Company, entitled, “The Stoning,” a story of significance, one in accordance with the generous heart of dominion intelligence, “The Stoning” is imbued with the spirit of sincerity and truth — it strikes the root where the ordinary production is inane and impotent. Other items of interest are : “Our Soldiers at Home and in Egypt,’’ a topical film of special interest ; the latest “Topical Gazette”; “Cartoons in a Barber’s Shop,” one of the funniest and most original films extant; “The Channel Isles,’’ a series of picturesque views; “Billy’s Wager,” a brilliant Vitagraph comedy. WEDNESDAY (One Night Only) “THE MILLION DOLLAR MYSTERY.”
The second Episode, “The False Friend,” of the popular serial picture, will be screened at Fuller’s to-morrow night. Florence arrives in the city, to find her father gone, no one knows where, Jones, his butler, discloses a mysterious letter charging her to trust him completely. The conspirators turn their attention to Florence. You will see how the Princess wins Florence’s confidence, only to betray her, and you will be carried away by the intensity of the episode, which is one of the most exciting moving pictures ever filmed. Other good pictures are: “Pathe Gazette,” “The Cliff Girl” (a splendid Reliance Drama), “The Royal Danish Navy,*’ and “Unwinding It” (a merry-making farcecomedy).
