ENTERTAINMENTS.

FULLER’S PICTURES. The current programme at Fuller’s is an exceptionally good one, featuring as a special attraction a triumph of photographic art namely, “Whom the Gods Would Destroy.” The story is a very interesting one, while the mounting and acting is superb. Other items of interest are: “Making Bread in Persia,” interest; “The Decoy,” drama; “Australian Gazette” ; “Bloomer and His Dog,” comic; “The Level,” drama; and “What a Cinch,” v farce. MONDAY AND TUESDAY. The change of programme for Monday and Tuesday is headed by an Edison masterpiece, throbbing with real life and featuring Little Viola Allen in “The Stoning.” A story of significance, one in accordance with the generous heart of dominion intelligence, “The Stoning”’is imbued with the spirt of sincerity and truth—it strikes the root where the ordinary production is insane and impotent. It will reach warm sympathies and through its very tenderness soften the hearts and broaden minds not to be reached, or to be affected, by cut and dried codes promulgated from the pulpit, It is a drama of actuality. Other pictures are: “Topical Gazette” ; “Cartoons in a Barber’s Shop,” one of the funniest and certainly the most original film extant; “The Channel Isles,” scenic; “Our Soldiers at Home and in Egypt,” a topical film of special importance to New Zealanders; “Billy’s Wager,” a Brilliant Vitagraph comedy of many surprises.
