BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Eorough Treasurer reported at Monday night’s Council meeting as follows :
“X have the honour to report that the following amounts were received during the past month and placed to credit as under: For district fund account £296 is 4d, and for cemetery account £4. The position of the accounts as per Bank N.Z, pass books is : District fund account, credit, ,£440 5S iod, and cemetery account, credit, £5 4s 1 id. The ledger balances of ihe various accounts are as under : —Sanitation £lB5 8s Bd, reserves £147 9s gd, Town Hall £BO 18s gd, gas works £7l 5s 7d, Whirokino bridge loan interest £39 os 9d, Beach road loan interest £32 4s Bd, roads and streets loan interest ,£25 10s nd, hospital and charitable aid £l7 14s id, Council Chambers and Public Library loan £27, ios, roads and streets loan No. 2 interest £l6 4s Bd, Shannon bridge loan interest ,£lO 8s 2d, Library £l3 8s 6d, Whirokino bridge additions loan interest £7 os Bd, Cemetery £5 4s nd, contractors’ deposits £4, gas works loan interest £3 os id, all in credit, a total of £677 ios id. The accounts at debit are: General account £192 13s iod, sundry debtors £29 5s 6d, and imprest cash £lO, a total of £231 19s 4d. SUMMARY.
