HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner cabled yesterday at noon as follows : The hemp market has advanced again for Manila owing to the freight difficulty. Prices for New Zealand are firmer, in sympathy. The inquiry is chiefly for early shipment. Quotations : FebruaryApril shipment Manila new graded fair New Zealand good fair ,£4O 10s, fair 1 os. The tow market is very firm and business has been done at first grade ,£23 10s, second grade £22 10s, third grade is unobtainable. The Manila output for the week was 22,000 bales.
