HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT.
The High Commissioner cabled yesterday at noon as follows : The hemp market remains firm. Think the advance will be maintained. On account of the heavy freight rates the Manila offerings are very small, as shippers cannot arrange for immediate shipment. Manila ,£46, coarse good fair £39, fair Jauuary-March shipments ; good fair fair ,£36 ; Manila coarse The output of Manila for the week was 22,000 bales.
