HOLIDAY Excursion 'tickets available for return until 17th February, 1916, will be issued from any station to any station on North Island Main Line and Branches from I/th December to 3rd lanuary. Tickets at Holiday Excursion fares available same date will also be issued Irom any Officered station on the North Island Main Line and Branches (except Wellington) to any station on the South Island Main Line and Branches (except Lyttelton). The journey must be commenced on day of issue and may he broken at any station at which the train stops after travelling 50 miles. EXTRA EXPRESS TRAINS, WELLINGTON - AUCKLAND, Extra Express trains will run between Wellington and Auckland as under: — Leave Wellington (t norndon) 2 o.m. daily (except Sundays) Irom 17th December to Bth January, inclusive, Palmerston N. 5-22 p.m„ arriving Auckland 7.50 a.m. Leave Auckland 9.52 p.m. daily (except Saturdays) from 17th December to Qth January, inclusive, Marton 11.23 a.m., daily (except Sundays) from 18th December to loth January, inclusive, Palmerston N. 12.45 p.m., arriving Wellington 3 59 p.m. EXPRESS TRAINS, PALMERSTON N.-AUCKLAND. Express trains will run between Palmerston North and Auckland as under: —■ Palmerston N. depart 3.18 p.m. on 22nd, 23rd, 24th December, Ist, 3rd and 4th January, arriving Auckland 6.17 a.m. Leave Auckland 6.58 p.m on 22nd, 23rd, 24th December, 2nd, 3rd and 4th January. Palmerston N. arrive 9.47 a.m. From l/th December to Bth January, the Ordinary 1.10 p.m. Wellington-Auckland Express will take passengers only for Taihape and stopping stations north ot Taiund will not lift passengers at stations between Palmerston N. and Mercer, inclusive. Passengers from these stations must travel by the extra Up Express trainleaving Wellington at 2 p.m., by the Ordinary Express train leaving Wellington at 9.10 pan., or by the Palmerston N.Auckland Express tram leaving Pal-mer:-,ion N, at 3.18 p.m. as shown j above. ; The Ordinary 8.30 p.m. Auckland j Wellington Express train will take I passengers from Auckland only for Waiouru, Taihape and stopping stations south of faihape and will not hu passengers between niercer, aucl Palmerston N., inclusive, except for Waiouru. EXTRA MAIL TRAINS, WEL-LINGTON-WANG AN HI. PALMERSTON N.-NAPIER. From 22nd December to 4UI January, inclusive. Extra Mail trains will run between Wanganui and Wellington, leaving Wanganui 11.16 a.m., Palmerston N. 236 p.m,, arriving Wellington 6.55 p.m. Leave Wellington 7.45 a.m., Palmerston N. 11.40 a, nr, arriving Wanganui 2.40 p.m. From 22nd December to 4th January, inclusive (except Sundays and Xmas Dav) Extra Mail trains will run between Palmerston N. and Napier, leaving Palmerston N, 3.40 p in., arriving Napier 9.0 p.m. Leave Napier 9.50 a.m., arriving Palmerston 3.10 p.rn. On these dates New PlymouthWell ington Ordinary Mail train will not take passengers holding Excursion tickets from Wanganui and stations south thereof. The Wellington-New Plymouth Ordinary Mail train will not take passengers holding Excursion tickets from Palmerston N., Fordell and intermediate stations except lotnorth ot Aramoho and Mam Trunk Line. NIGHT TRAINS, WANGANUI-NAPIER-WELLINGTON. On 24U1 December passenger train will leave Wanganui 11.25 p.m-, Marfon 1.32 a.m. (25th December), Palmerston N. 4.20 a.m., arriving Wellington 8.6 a.m,, Napier 10.25 a.m.

A passenger train will leave Wellington 11.25 pan., Palmerston N. 4.10 a.iu. (25th December) arriving Wanganui 7.50 a.m. CHRISTMAS DAY, 25x11 DECEMBER, 1915. On 25th December following trains only will run The Ordinary and Extra Mail and Express trains. The 5.35 p in. Palmerston-Foxton train and 8.55 a.m. Foxton-Palmer-ston N. train. No goods or live stock traffic will be conveyed on 25th and 27th December and Ist January, and goods sheds will be closed on those days.
