THE HEMP MARKET.
HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner cabled yesterday at noon as follows : The hemp market is very firm for anything on spot. Offerings are very small for shipment. Good fair, 10s; fair, £35; Manila, ,£44 xos ; coarse ,£36 10s. January-March shipments: Good fair, 6 1 fair, : Manila, ,£44; coarse, .£36. The output of Manila for the week was 18,000 bales.
