The Dixon Cup is still at Masterton, the holders successfully defending their rights to retain it against a challenging rink from Pahiatua. The scores were: Masteiton 31, Pahiatua 16. A Palmerston rink has the next challenge in.
The Manson and Barr Cup, which has been held by the Feilding Club since the latter part of last season, changed hands on Saturday, the holders being defeated by a Palmerston rink skipped by Tasker. The game was a very close one, the challengers winning on the last head by two points. The Foxton Club has issued a challenge for this trophy and the match will be played at an early date. The local team will be skipped bv Rimmer.
