METHODIST CHURCH.

The Sunday school anniversary services in connection with the local Methodist church were held on Sunday last, and there were good attendances at the three services. The Rev Mr Boys, of Palmerston N., conducted the services and preached appropriate sermons. The singing of a choir of children under the leadership of Mr R. T. Betty, was a distinct feature of the services. The visiting minister and others present paid glowing tributes to the singing of the little ones, the hymns being splendidly balanced and giving evidence of careful training. By special request, the hymns will be repeated at the services next Sunday, when a further opportunity will be afforded the public of hearing them. Miss Houore presided at the organ. To-night, in the supper-room of the Coronation Town Hall, the annual school concert will be held. All the items will be given by the children, and the distribution ot prizes will take place. The ladies will provide refreshments. The admission is is, children halfprice.
