DEMAND FOR HEMP.

FOR ARMY AND NAVY CONTRACTS. Christchurch, Nov. 22. With a view of expediting, if possible, hemp shipments, Messrs William F. Malcolm and Co., London, have cabled to William Woods and Co., Christchurch, as follows “New Zealand hemp eagerly required for execution of army and navy contracts, and hemp and tow tor munition manufacturing purposes. The consequences of delay to shipments are serious.”
