la the House of Lords, Lord Ribblesdale said it was common knowledge that General Sir Charels Monro had reported in favour of the Allies withdrawing from Gallipoli and avoiding a winter campaign.
The Marqnis of Lansdowne (Minister without portfolio) said the Government considered the report insufficient, and had sent Lord Kitchener to the Mediterranean.
BRITISH RESUME THE OFFENSIVE.
New York, November 18
Reuter’s Agency has received a message from London stating that the British have resumed the offensive at the Dardanelles, and the 52nd Division captured 280 yards of trenches in the Krithia nullah.
