CRISIS IN GREECE.
THE ZAIMIS CABINET RESIGNS. STATEMENT BY M. VENIZEEOS. INTENSE SATISFACTION IN ITALY. London, Nov. 4, A no-confidence motion in the Greek Cabinet was carried by 147 votes 114. M. Zaimis’s Cabinet resigns. Athens, Nov. 4. The immediate cause of the crisis was a remark by M. Yanakitsa, which M. Venizelos considered to be an insult to the Chamber- tie insisted on an immediate apology. Thereupon M. Zaimis declared the Government’s solidarity with the Minister for War. A debate on military proposals raised a discussion between the Minister of War (M. Yanakitsas) and the Venizelist majority. The Government asked for the Chamber’s confidence. M. Venizelos recently informed a newspaper correspondent : "When I next come into office I will make war on Bulgaria." New York, Nov. 4. M. Venizelos, in an interview given to the Chicago Tribune, said: "If I return to power I shall make war against Bulgaria. It is our duty to enter the war as a moral obligation to Servia, to prevent Bulgarian, predominance, and to protect the ideals of the small nations against the ideals of a single great State. Greece has all to gain by a victory for the Allies.” Athens, Nov. 4. M. Venizelos, before the vote was taken declared that it was impossible for the Liberals to support the Government, whose policy was fatal to the country’s interests. New York, Nov. 4. A Reuter message from Athens states that after M. Zaimis’s resignation had been placed in the hands of King Constantine, the Deputies made a demonstration in honour of jVI. Venizelos. Rome, Nov. 4. M. Zaimis’s resignation has caused intense satisfaction in Italian political circles.
