goods for hospital ship & ST. JOHN’S AM BULANOF'.
■ The Foxton Girls’ Guild packed and forwarded to Wellington yesterday two cases of goods, one to the Governor for the second hospital ship, the Marama, being the second instalment, and one to St. John’s Ambulance, being the fifth instalment. The goods sent to the hospital ship consisted of : —n towels, seven day shirts, one dozen knitted face cloths, six dozen handkerchiefs, three pairs hand knitted bed socks, four pairs hand-knitted socks, six balaclavas, three pairs pyjamas, six flannel waistcoats, four dressing gowns, five pairs convalescent slippers, 66 roller bandages and one feather pillow. To the St. John’s Ambulance. : Five pairs wounded foot covers, three flannel cholera belts, four hand-knitted do, three helpless case jackets, t 3 soldiers hold-alls, 2i nightingales, eight welcome head bandages, nine eye bandages, six hand-knitted chest protectors, 26 pairs band-knitted mittens, three pillow slips and old linen.
