FULLER’S PICTURES
What is undoubtedly one of the finest programmes ever offered to the public of Foxton was screened at the Town Hall last night, and will be repeated to-night. First, there is a wildly hilarious Keystone farce, featuring Syd. Chaplin, the prince ol screen comedians, in “Gnssle’s Day of Rest.” Gussle has arrived at the conclusion that a day of rest is a needlul and blessed thing that should be enjoyed to the utmost. He decides to have 5 day of rest that will live in the memory as a thing of beauty and a joy for ever. But, as the old saw has it, “Man proposes and fate disposes.” The result is that Onsslc, instead of having a day of restful sloth, has tire busiest and most riotous day of his restful life. It is such a riot that he determines to write, a book with the title, “How to he merry though married.” Then comes a recitation by Mr Hornblovv, who lias consented to recite Hutchinson’s famous recruiting poem, “The Call from the Trenches.” .Supporting items constitute positively the finest programme ever submitted to a Foxton audience, and patrons should lose no time in securing seats at Mrs Teviotdale's. In addition to the above, as a special attraction, the invincible soldier comedian from Rangiotu camp, Bugler Bolton (Scotty), who won such favour during his previous visit to Foxtou with the Regimental Band, will appear. As this is Mr Bolton’s last appearance on the stage in New Zealand, intending patrons should make a special effort to show their appreciation and bid farewell to this talented soldier ol the King. MONDAY AND TUESDAY,
An outstanding feature of Monday’s programme is a Keystone masterpiece, “Hushing the Scandal.” Mr Droppington is to announce his engagement. A garden fete is held in honour of the occasion. Mr Droppington brings the ring, seals the engagement with a kiss, and everyone is satisfied. But Mr Breezingtou appears, and tails iu love with the fiance’e, swallows her ring, and woos her in the shrubbery. This leads to complications, and each one is an explosion ol laughter.

They come with the very best ot credentials as artists with great reputations ; also the three Dentines, amazing and sensational apruiists, who perform some death d dying feats. This team is without dount the limit of sensationalism. Mr Moe Arons, direct from St. Leon’s United Stales circus, and Alvino, the funniest of all clowns, arrived together. Alicia, a skilled lady juggler, and Miss Katie Montgomery, the acknowledged lady champion rider, were among the ladies who made their first, appear ance with Mr Barton. Another great attraction for this tour is “Cocoa and Chico,” the human Chimpanzees. This remarkable team has been engaged by special arrangements with Messrs John Fuller and Sons, There will also appear a number of our old favourites, including Miss Ethel Ashton, the clever and versatile performer ; Mr Roy Barton, the premier bareback rider ; Gardiner and Le Mar, champion ju-jitsu experts ; and Mr Tommy James, New Zealand’s champion buck-jumping rider ; with the full complement of trained horses, educated mules, dogs and monkeys.
