The question ot the construction of the Levin-Foxlon-Greatford railway, and the connecting ot the Sandon tramway with the Government railway at Grealfotd, are to remain over to form tire subject ot another commission. It was deemed advisable, owing cbielly to expected opposition Irom Bedding and Palmerston, not to submit the railway and tramway matters to the Wharf Commission, hut to deal first with the wharl, upon t he subject of which the whole district is united. The question of the appointment of a Commission or Commissioners will receive the early attention of Cabinet, and I am In communication with them on the matter.”
