FIVK AGARS’ IMPRISON MGNT.

At the Supreme Court at Wellington on Saturday, John William PreslHng pleaded guilty to committiug an indecent assault on two little girls at P'oxton, and a previous couviction being on record against him, His Honour the Chief Justice (Sir Robert Stout) sentenced the prisoner to five years' hard labour, telling him that if he were convicted again he would be adjudged an habitual criminal.
