FUN ON THE BRISTOL.
Mr George Stevenson’s company of comedians presented the above play in the Town Hall on Thursday night, to a fair and keenly appreciative audience. The attendance suffered, uo doubt owing to what may be considered in these times of self-denial the high prices of admission. In normal times there would lie no reason to complain, 1 nit with so many calls upon the public for patriotic purposes, amusements are necessatily curtailed. From start to finish, the play aroused the risible faculties of the audience and caused roars of laughter. As the “ Widow O’Jlrien ” Mr Frank Hawthorne was a masterpiece. The other members of the versatile company were all top-uotchers in their several parts, and fully maintained the high reputation they have gained in the theatrical world.
