FOXTON LADIES’ GUILD.
The above guild has been asked to assist in the equipment of the second New Zealand Hospital Ship, and have decided to work to this end for a month, starting from to-morrow. The guild desires to acknowledge the sum of as a donation lor this purpose from the proprietors of the Poplar mill. All guild members and others willing to assist are invited to be present at the Council Chambers to-morrow afternoon, when articles will he cut out and distributed for making up. The guild will be pleased to receive donations in cash from any sympathisers. As the lime limit for completing the guild’s contribution is only four weeks, they require all the public assistance possible. The guild also desire to acknowledge from Mr H. Greig towards the Belgian Fund, and sums of and £.\ being halfproceeds from the two benefit picture entertainments at the Royal this and last month.
