PRKSTLI NG COM MI TT ED FOR SENTENCE.

John W. Prestling charged with, at Foxton on September 14, indecently assaulting two little girls, aged 5 and 6 years respectively, appeared before Mr J. W. I’oynton. S.M., at Palmerston yesterday. Detective-Sergeant Quirke conducted the prosecution, and stated that at about 10.30 a.in. on the day in question accused enticed the two children into a building at Foxton and committed the offence with which he was charged. fuddence was given by the mother and the two children in support of the charge. Leonard Marlin, baker’s assisiaut, Foxton, stated that he saw the two girls come out of the building, followed shortly after by the accused. Witness informed the police. Accused, who pleaded guilty, was committed to the Supreme Court for sentence.
