ENTERTAINMENTS.

FULLER’S PICTURES

The last series of the “Adventures of Kathlyn,” in “The Court of Death,” will be included in tonight’s programme at the Town Hall. Kathlyn and her party, having escaped a dreadful death from the rain of fiery lava, remain in the shelter of the cliff till the eruption ceases, and then move on to find the treasure trove. Now follows a series of exciting escapades in which Kathlyn and her deadly enemy try to obtain the treasure. Umballah is confronted by a number of wild leopards, and Kathlyn meets with many adventures. The end of the series brings the meeting of Kathlyn and her father, who, with her sister, have been wailing at the Court of the great Tribunal. The climax is splendidly managed. Other items are; “What Could She Do,” two part Edison drama ; “Egypt, I Want You !” animated cartoons ; “Topical Budget” ; “Fatty’s New Role,” Keystone farce.

MONDAY AND TUESDAY

An outstanding feature of Monday’s change of programme is, ‘The Best Man.’ - This is a quickly moving drama concerning the stealing of an important secret cypher message and the marriage of a young lady to gu unknown man, who resembles, by the aid of; a disguise, the man she intended to marry. The end is convincing, clever and most enjoyable. Other pictures are : “The Sugar Industry,” industrial : "The Man Who Knew,” drama ; “Ham, the Iceman,” comedy ; “The Lure of the Green Table,’ : drama; “The Noise of Borahs,” Keystone comic.

“PUN ON THE BRISTOL,.”

Musical farcical comedy has a never-ending attraction for the theatre-goer, so “Fun on the Bristol,” one o! the funniest of farces, to he staged here for one night, on Thursday next, should prove popular with amusement lovers. This play, which has the hall-mark of success extending over thirty years, is for laughing purposes only. The plot, or what there is ot it, is really a connecting link for a series of the latest songs, dances, and sketches. The Widow played by the late John Sheridan over 6000 times, was a household favourite, and the chance of renewing acquaintance with this lady, who will be Impersonated by Frank Hawthorne, a clever actor who has been a big success in the part, is expected to be largely availed of. The Foxton season is for one night only, and the box plan is now on view at Mrs Tevlotdale’s. The Company has just finished a very successful season in Wellington.
