ENTERTAINMENTS.

FULLER’S PICTURES. “THE FORGED PARCHMENT.” The programme to be submitted at the Town Hall on Saturday evening is said to be very good, and contains the eleventh instalment of the “Adventures of Kathlyn” in “The Forged Parchment.” An additional feature is a strong drama of railroad a-- ' ■-■ison life, built on a theme o. .. .ual power. The story tells of Bob North, a stationmaster, who, through forgetting to deliver a train order, is Imprisoned for five yeats for criminal negligence owing to a collision which occurs. He subsequently attempts to escape from prison, and is hit by a bullet from the warder’s rifle. He, however, manages to reach the railway junction, where he staggers against the station window. Flearing a telegraphic instalment frantically ticking, he breaks into the station and takes a neglected railway order, thereby preventing a great tragedy. He is again taken into custody, hut is shortly afterwards granted a pardon and reinstated to his old position. The supporting items are .a good variety, and include a Topical Budget, a capital comedy by the Vitagraph Company, “Kidding the Boss,” which extracts much mirth from the belief of the boss in domestic economy, and the tact that the “boys,” in their intended joke, have the tables turned on themselves, and a comedy entitled “The Groom’s Doom.” Attention is drawn to the special additional topical film, “The Battle of the Sand Dunes,” a realistic and absolutely genuine war picture. This film depicts in a clear and crisp manner the following scenes: The scout giving warning of a German advance ; cyclist company advancing to meet the attack ; the regiment doubling to the attack ; over the dunes ; beating back the enemy ; the supporting column ; the Germans having given way, the French dash over the brow ; the commanding officer consults his staff ; the enemy having been driven back, the French take up new positions on the extreme limit of the Allies’ front.
