BULB SHOW.
Intending exhibitors at the Bulb Show, to be held In the Town Hall on Thursday next, are reminded that entries close with the secretary to-mofrow (Wednesday) night. Eate entries will be received up to 10 o’clock on the morning of the Show. Some local growers complain that many of their choicest bulbs will not be sufficiently forward to show, while other growers have a good showing. The prospects on the whole are very promising, and a first-class exhibition of these beautiful blooms is anticipated. Apart from the exhibition of blooms, there will be decorated classes and children’s cookery. As the prizes in the latter class are very liberal, it is hoped this will induce a number of children to compete, The tea-room will he in charge of Mrs Saunders, and the sweets stall will He presided over by Mrs Hillman. A number of novel competitions will be provided, ami the Borough Band will discourse a programme.
