THE WHARF QUESTION.

Mr W. H. Field M.P. has received the following letter from the Prime Minister : "Your letter of the 30th ultimo duly to baud with reference to communications received by you from Mr Hennessy and others, relative to the Foxton Harbour Board and Wharf. In reply to your representations in support of the Board’s request, I beg to inform you that this matter would probably have been dealt with by Cabinet, bat for the important and urgent national work that has been engaging the attention of Ministers recently. I shall endeavour to get this question before Cabinet at the earliest opportunity.”
