PATRIOTIC MEETING.

WEDNESDAY,’ AT 2.30 P.M. The Mayor invites the public to meet at the Council Chambers at 2.30 o’clockxon Wednesday afternoon next, to pass a resolution concerning our loyalty and determination to assist the Empire and our allies in the present great struggle for liberty. Similar resolutions will be passed, throughout tue Empire. The Mayor specially urges every one who can make it convenient to attend, and has arranged tbe hour accordingly. The meeting is called at the request of the Prime Minister. The school children and cadets will be asked to parade from the school at 2.15. His Worship states that tbe gathering will not last more than about fifteen minutes, and will include the singing of the National Anthem and Rule Britannia.
