FUUvKR’S PICTURES. “THE HAGUE’S MATE.” There was a large audience at the Town Hall last night to witness the initial screening of “The Eagle’s Male,” featuring the world’s most popular actress, Mary Pickford. “The Eagle’s Mate,” is a drama with a bigger plot and more action, greater love, sweet sentiment and stronger passions than any play Mary Pickford has yet made her appeal. Other items are: “Cnpid Backs the Winners,” comedy ; and The Latent Gazette. FRIDAY & SATURDAY. On Friday and Saturday another instalment of the famous serial, “The Adventures of Kalblyn,” entitled “Three Bags of Silver,” will be screened. Colonel Hare having been rescued, Kathlyn and the rest of the party proceed towards the walled city of the desert —Alhabad. They are conducted into the presence ot the Rajah, who as well as being commander ot the city, has a more important office as keeper of the Sacred White Elephant. When Kathlyn and party start on their journey to the coast, they encounter a new set of exciting adventures which will thrill the onlooker tremendously. Other items are ; “A Coloured .Girl’s Hove,” Keystone comic; “Curing the Cook,” comic; “Australian Gazette,” topical; “Bread Upon the Waters,” drama; “As a Man Thinkelh,” comedy. The. Keystone comedy used in the Variety Fair Competition entitled, “Twelve O’clock,” will be included in Ibis programme.
