ENTERTAINMENTS.

FULLER’S PICTURES. “THE VENDETTA.” The initial screening of this famous picture at the Town Hall last night was witnessed by one of the largest and most appreciative audiences yet seen at this popular place of entertainment, and the management is to be congratulated on the magnificent business achieved through this marvellous production, which adds one more link to the chain of popularity attached to Fullei’s Pictures. Another special feature of the programme is “The Birth of Flowers,” a beautifully coloured film of intense interest ; also the latest Topical Gazette, and a rollicking comedy, “Back to the Kitchen.” WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY. “THE EAGLE’S MATE.” In “The Eagle’s Mate,” a vitally gripping drama of the mountain country, abounding in honest, exquisite and poignant thrills, written by Anna Alice Chapin, Mary Pickford portrays the delightfully fascinating character of little Anemone. It is a drama with a bigger plot and more action, greater love, sweet sentiment and stronger passions than any play Mary Pickford has yet made her appeal. As Anemone, Miss Pickford entwines herself around every one's heart. Other items are : “Cupid Backs the Winner,” a brilliant Kalem comedy; and The Latest European Gazette.
