LECTURE BY MR POYNTON, S.M.

At Thursday’s meeting of the State school committee, the chairman said Mr Poynton S.M. had generously consented to deliver another scientific lecture under the auspices of the school on Thursday evening next. They would remember how the senior scholars and public appreciated Mr Poynton’s previous lecture on bacteriology. On this occasion Mr Poynton will deal with a more fascinating subject—Eight. The committee expressed their appreciation ot Mr Poynton’s kindness and decided that the lecture be held in the Masonic Hall and that a retiring collection be taken to cover expenses.
