BALTIC NAVAL FORCES.
The fog of war has hung heavy over the Baltic, and, though it has been lifted occasionally when one or other of the opposing fleets has had a success, no clear statement of the composition bl the opposing forces has been made. Taking the peace strengths of the two fleets, it may be said that it success attains the efforts being made by the Russians to complete for sea the whole of the Sebastopol class of battleships the Russian battle fleet will comprise four fast Dreadnoughts, carrying twelve guns of isin. firing broadside, and so individually superior to all their German rivals, none of which can train abeam more than ten heavy weapons, in addition to the two Pauls of 17,400 tons, that are nearly equal to the Nassau type, and to the two Cesarewitchs of 13,000 tons, that are a match for the Braunschweigs.
