FATAL FIRE AT PAHIATUA.

MAN BURNT IN HIS OFFICE. Pahiatua, June 4. A fire which had a strong hold was discovered shortly alter 3 o’clock this morning In the office of timber yards here owned by Mr James Cunningham. The charred body of Cunningham was subsequently found in the office. Deceased was a married man with a young family. He came from Woodville a couple of years ago, and acquired the timber business, which he considerably extended. Some years ago Cunningham met with a serious accident, and had suffered lately from insomnia. He had a habit also of going back to work in his office on account of pressure of business. He was oi a generous disposition and much esteemed.
