FULLER'S PICTURES

The Initial screening of “The Rounders” at Fuller’s Pictures last night was attended by a keenly interested and appreciative audience. The film depicts the famous Keystone stars, Charlie Chaplin and Roscoe Arbuckle, doing the rounds of the cabarets and saloons and the fun becomes fast and furious. Supporting items are of a particularly high standard and constitute a splendid programme. WEDNESDAY & THURSDAY. The management has great pleasure in announcing that famous Vitagraph production, ‘‘Captain Alvarez,” a romance of Argentina. Robert W. Wainwright is commissioned to proceed to the Argentine Republic to watch certain American interests. He finds the place seething with disaffection against the Government. He communicates with the rebel leader, but his message is intercepted and he is advised to leave the country ; but he has fallen in love with Bonita. However, he takes out a passage on the first ship but just before sailing he swims ashore and joins the Rebels under the name of “Captain Alvarez.” He is soon a marked man and tracked incessantly, but his resourcefulness and his bravery brings him success and when the Rebels come triumphantly into the capital it is “Captain Alvarez” who welcomes them. Other items are; “A Corner in Hats,” comedy and “The Latest War Gazettes.”
