THE LADIES’ GUILD.
The local Ladies’ Guild yesterday forwarded eighty-four balaclavas and thirty-six pairs of sox to Wellington for the use of the Expeditionary Force. It is just a month ago since the Guild forwarded the last consignment. The secretary informs us that difficulty has been experienced iu procuring wool, but arrangements have been made to get a supply from a southern mill. The price of flannel has also increased from is 4d,to is gd per yard. It will be seen, therefore, that the money in hand will uot last long.
