FULLER’S PICTURES. THE ADVENTURES OF KATHLYN TO-NIGHT. “The Adventures of Kathlyn,” the great serial wild animal drama, the first series of which was shown at the Town Hall last evening, was greatly appreciated by an enthusiastic audience. It is really a magnificent production and should prove a very profitable enterprise for the management. The first instalment is entitled, “The Unwelcome Throne,” and in brief is as follows : Kathlyn Hare is the daughter of Colonel Hare, a collector of wild animals. He has saved the life ot the King of Allaha from a leopard, and has been decorated for his bravery. He is about to start for Allaha, and takes a large envelope, which he directs “to be opened by my daughters at midnight, 31st De cember.” Six months later his daughters are about to open the package when their attention is called to an affair outside. Leaving the package they go through the door and like lightning a high caste Hindoo steals the contents of the package, leaving a letter in its folds. This leads to many exciting adventures. She eventually is told she must become Queen, and is unwilling crowned by the High Priest. Stirring events happen, and Kathlyn is stricken with what Is told here, which ends the first series. Other Items are :“A Trip Through Uganda,” scenic; “The Locked House,” comic ; “Moonshine Mountains,” drama ; “Topical Budget” : “An Incompetent Hero,” comic. This programme will be repeated to-night. MONDAY & TUESDAY. The management has pleasure in presenting a new Vltagraph society drama, “The Acid Tesc,” featuring the popular picture actor, Maurice Costello, containing imagination, force and humour. There are two kinds of feminine love, one demonstrative and the other reserved. The latter was the love that made a husband doubt his wife’s attitude towards him. He puts her to the test by having himself declared a bankrupt, and pretends that he is ruined. His wife comes to his relief, and assures him that her love is strong enough to sustain him In his hour of need, and she is willing to endure anything tor his sake. Other films are : ‘ ‘Along the Deschutes, ’ ’ scenic; “Buddy’s First Cali, drama ; “The Latest Topical” ; “Lena and the Geese,” drama ; “A Million Dollar Bride,” comedy; “On the River Katsuura,” scenic ; “Their Ups and Downs,” Keystone comic. ROYAL PICTURES. The programme at the Royal to-night will be beaded by the latest Keystone laugh dynamo “Sea Nymphs.” Mabel and Fatty meet on excursion steamer. Mabel’s lover is rather dull, so Fatty promptly drops him overboard and communes with Mabel, to the annoyance of several people. They go in for mixed bathing, and Fatty shows remarkable agility, while Mabel does some astonishing diving and swimming feats. Fatty and Mabel also consorts with sea lions. Other films are “ He Gave him a Million” (farce), “ The Leech of Industry,” a powerful and poignant A.K, drama, “ The Vases of Hymen ” (Bunny comedy), “ Topical Budget” and “On the Heights ” (drama). The seventh series of “ Trey 0’ Hearts,” will be screened. On Monday the great sporting drama “ Victory or Death” will head the programme.
