BOROUGH FINANCES.

The Borough Treasurer reported at Monday night’s Council meeting as follows: — “I have to report that the following amounts were received since last meeting and placed to the credit as under : To district fund account ,£361 4s 2d, and to cemetery account ,£lO. The positions oi these two accounts at the Bank ot New Zealand on May 3rst, 1915, were: District fund, credit, ,£124 4s 4d, and cemetery account, credit, £ll 14s ird. The ledger balances of the various accounts are as under :—Cemetery account ,£n 14s 1 id, contractors’ deposits ,£5, gas works ,£541 ns 2d, VVhirokluo bridge loan £[ 5s Bd, roads and streets loan ,£SO ns yd, Shannon bridge loan, ,£y 14s Bd. Council chamber and public library loan ,£8 ys Bd, Whirokino bridge additions loan ißs4d, roads and streets No. 2 loan £2l 12s 2d, library £7 12s ltd, reserves ,£l3l 8s gd, sanitation ,£y4 t4S Bd. Town Hall ,£6B ys 6d, all in credit, a total of ,£931. The general account is at debit to the extent of ,£yS5 os gd, which, with imprest cash ,£lO, makes ajj total of £795 os gd. SUMMARY. £ s. d.
