NOTICE TO STRIKE RATES. NOTICE is hereby given that in pursuance and' exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by Sections 78, 89 and go of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1908,” and its amendments, Sections 48 to 55 of “The Rating Act, 1905,” and its amendments, Section 29 ot “The Hospitable and Charitable Institutions Act, 1908,” and its amendments, Section 6 of “The Libraries and Mechanics Institute Ad, 1908,” and its amendments, and of every other power thereunto enabling it. The Foxton Borough Council will at a meeting to be held on Wednesday, Tune 30th, 1915, at 7.30 p.m. in the Council Chambers, Main Street, Foxton, make and levy a general rate of threepence m the £, a library rate of one-eighth of one penny in the £, a Hospital and Charitable Aid rate of three-sixteenth of one penny in the £, on the unimproved value as shown in the valuation roll of all the rateable properties in the Borough of Foxton. Also to collect the following Special Rates viz., Whirokino Bridge loan rale of one-eighth of a penny in the £, Roads and Streets loan No. I rate of l-t2th of a penny in the £, Shannon Bridge loan rate of one thirty-second of a penny in the £, Council Chambers and Public Library loan rate of onethird of a penny in the £, Whirokino Bridge Additional loan rate of one thirty-second of a penny in the £, Gas Works loan rate of three farthings in the £, Beach Road loan rate of one-twelth of a penny in the £, all on the unimproved value as shown in the valuation roll of all the rateable properties in the Borough of Foxton. And also to collect a sanitation charge of seventeen shillings per pan on all house property within the night soil area.
