NAPIER MURDER TRIAL.

life imprisc:: it. Napier, June 10. The hearing of the charge against Alice Parkinson of murdering Albert West by shooting on March 2nd, was concluded at the Supreme Court to-day, before the Chief Justice, Sir Robert Stout. After a retirement of over three hours, the jury returned a verdict of guilty of manslaughter, with a strong recommendation to mercy on account of the provocation the accused had received. His Honour did not think it was a case where clemency could be allowed. It was a cold premeditated murder. Accused was sentenced to imprisonment for the term ot her natural life.
