VARIETY FAIR.
A meeting of the Variety Fair Committee was held yesterday afternoon. The Mayor (Mr Alf. Fraser) presided. The meeting was informed that Mrs Renton bad generously given the pony won by her in the recent drawing, back to the committee to dispose of as the committee thought fit. It was moved by Mr Kelly and seconded by Mr Claris, that the pony be disposed of as previously, in aid of the Wounded Soldiers Fund and that the money realised be banded to the Radies Guild, the guild to dispose of the tickets at is each. It was decided that part of the money realised on the sale of filter be also handed to the Radies Guild in aid of the Wounded Soldiers Fund. It was decided that the rug donated by Mr G. H. Stiles and cake donated by Mr Perreau, be auctioned in aid of the Belgian Fund. The secretary, Mr Kellow, gave an estimate ol the receipts and expenditure. The estimated receipts were and the expenditure A balance sheet will be issued when all outstanding moneys are handed in. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
