CORRESPONDENCE.

(To the Editor). Sir, —l VV as pleased to read your remarks la reference to the financial position of the Ladies’ Sewing Guild, It would be a great pity if the guild bad to suspend operations for lack of funds, because there are quite a number of ladies willing to sew or knit for our wounded soldiers who cannot otherwise help. But as you say if there is no money to buy material their services will be lost. I think, Mr Editor, it is a pity to send money out of the town for this fund when the work can be done as well locally. I hope the money raised by “afternoons” will be handed either to the Ladies’ Guild or the Girl s Club who could divide both material funds to keep the work going in Foxton, I am, etc-, Per;. ■ -
