The Prime Minister received the following telegram from the High Commissioner, London 17th, 8.55 p.m.:— “I paid a visit to the Birmingham Hospital yesterday and saw a number of wounded men belonging to the New Zealand Expeditionary Force, was also present when others arrived. All were in good heart, cheerful and anxious to return on active service, while some hope to be soon convalescent. I was unable to go to Chichester Hospital, but Sir Newton saw men there on my behalf and reported officially that all were doing well. Following are in the Birmingham Hospital: G. Davis, T. Davis, J. A. Dick, C. C. Every, A. H. E. Howell, H. S, Latkins, G. W. Mills, A. C. Rawbone, W. L. Stephenson, A. C. Smnell. The following are in the Chichester Hospital: T. B. Buchanan, F. Farquhar, J. W. Ferguson, R. J. Kenzp, F. Locker, F, Mueli, G. Morpeth, M. O’Brien, P. O’Connor, R. Scott, F. Sinclair, L. M. Watson.”
