ENTERTAINMENTS.
FULLER’S PICTURES. The change of programme screened at the Town Hall last night was responsible for a large and enthusiastic audience. A special feature is, “Warfare in the Skies.” Richard Lawrence, an army aviator, introduces bis friend, Count Zurich, to Zeuia, his father’s beautiful ward. The Count becomes infatuated with the girl and determines to win her. General Lawrence, Richard’s father, is ordered to prepare for war, as Prince Dureseign is gathering an army to overthrow the government. Zeuita and Richard fall in love, he proposes and she accepts him- Dureseign’s forces surround General Lawrence’s army, and the General sends his son in an aeroplane for reinforcements. Count Zurich flies to the enemy’s camp and traitorously arranges to bombard General Lawrence’s ramparts by aeroplane, for which Prince Dureseign is to deliver Zenita into his hand alter defeating the General’s army. Richard when returning sees what the Count is preparing to do, charged full speed into the Count’s machine. The Count is killed .while Richard is injured and Zenia disguises and goes to the enemy’s hospital to nurse him. She is captured and ordered to be shot as a spy. Richard escapes to his own linee, returning in time in an aeroplane to rescue the girl by dropping bombs into the enemy’s midst. He helps her into the machine and brings her back to his father, where, after a glad reunion, they receive his blessing. Other good pictures are; “The Masquerader,” Keystone comic; “Down the River Fuji,” scenic; “Wlfie’s Athletic Mamma,” comic; “From Peril to Peril,” drama ; “Dick Potter’s Wife,” comedy; “ N.Z. Third Expeditionary Force.” There will be a complete change on Friday and Saturday, featuring as a special attraction “Grip of the Past,” a powerful drama of modern Mexica, a study of the race question, A special war topical will be screened to-night and to-morrow. ROYAL PICTURES. As usual there will be a complete change of programme at the Royal to-uight, the chief feature of which will be another great detective film series, entitled “ The Master Spy.” The following make up the programme, “Bay ot Biscay” an excellent scenic, “ A Mother’s Way,” one of those dramas that touch the heart, “ Topical Budget ” showing items ot interest in various parts of the world, “ Maria Rosa ” drama, and “Sanatorium” and “ Hobo Club” comics. This programme will also be repealed to-morrow night. Don’t miss the serial “ Trey o’ Hearts,” next instalment Saturday night.
