BOROUGH FINANCES.
The Borough Treasurer reported at Monday night’s Council meeting as follows : The following amounts have been received since last meeting and deposited to the credit of the accounts in the Bank of New Zealand as under; To district fund account i 66 ios 7d, and to cemetery account £$ 17s 6d. The position of the accounts at the Bank of New Zealand on the 30th April, 1915, was as under: District fund account, credit, 6s, and cemetery account, credit, various ledger accounts is as under :—Cemetery account £4 5s 1 id, contractors’ deposits £4, gas works 14s 4d, Whlrokino bridge loan £1 5s Bd, roads and streets loan ns 7d, Shannon bridge loan £7 14s Sd, Council chamber and public library £8 7s Sd, Whlrokino bridge additional loan iSs 4<d, roads and streets loan No. 212 s 2d, library £7 17s 2d, reserves 19s gd, sanitation £gg 6s, town hall ,£29 5s 4d, all in credit, a total ot ,£946 iSs 7d. The general account is at debit 6s Sd, which, with imprest cash makes a total of £sss 6 s Bd. SUMMARY. £ s. d. Accounts in credit 946 18 7 £ s. d. A/c’s at debit 853 6 8 Bankbal. D.F.
