BOROUGH VALUATIONS.

A RE-VALUATION WANTED

About twelve months ago the Council passed a resolution asking the Valuation Department to make a re-valuation ol the borough, it being pointed out at the time that the existing valuations were very unsatisfactory, in some cases sections adjoining one anottier being valued at totally different amounts. Up to the present the re-valuation has not been carried out, and at last night’s meeting it was decided, on the motion of Cr Thompson, seconded by Or Freeman, that the Valuer-General be again requested to give effect to the resolution passed last May asking that a re-valuation of the Borough be made.
