Cr Chrystall, a candidate for the Mayoralty, intends to address the electors of Foxtun in the Town Hall on Friday evening next, when he will deal with municipal

matters generally and set forth a policy upon which he will base Lhis claim to the highest honour it is in the power of citizens to confer. Cr Chrystall has been twice returned to the Council and on the last occasion polled the highest number of votes yet recorded by any candidate for a seat on the local Council. Cr Chrystall, however, is not going to monopolise the meeting as he has generously placed the platform at the disposal of all candidates both for the municipal and Harbour Board elections. We hope the candidates will seize the opportunity of expressing the faith that is in them and that as a result a keener interest will be manifested in municipal and district affairs.
