THE BOROUGH BAND.
The balance-sheet presented by the secretary at the annual meeting of members of the local Borough Band on Thursday evening. disclosed a very healthy stale of affairs, and the members, and particularly their energetic secretary, Mr A. Smith, ate to be congratulated on the progress made. The new year commences with a credit of iSs 2d, The receipts for the year just ended, including the credit balance of 4s Sd from the previous year, totalled ,£94 os 2d, made up of donations r2s id. Interest 9s 3d, carrolling 7s 3d, Friendly Societies Council £$ 3s, Foxton Racing Club ,£l4, hon. members 7s. The expenditure totalled ,£6o 2s, made up of conductor’s salary £4l ss, hall and coacbhire printing and stationery £$ 9s, instruments £7 8s qd, gas £2 18s 31, bank charge 10s, and sundries 6 s.
