ROYAL PICTURES
Picture patrons are promised something out of the ordinary at the Royal this evening when the grand patriotic picture, “Through the Firing Line,” will he shown. This film touches on the present great European war and depicts what took place* around Mens. The story portrays the adventures of an English family in Belgium and shows a brave English girl’s dash through the German Hues to bring help to bei Iriends. Besides this there will be shown a special war topical, “The War Day b\ Day,” This is the first authentic war scene from the German side, showing the war against the Russians. Included .in this interesting topical are the following scenes : Darkelmen, East Prussia, after the battle ; Russian prisoners ; Eydthulmen, a town that was completely destroyed by the Germans; German field kitchen at the railway station ; Germans constructing a pontoon bridge over the Deime ; Austrian Landslurm Regiment leaves for the front ; the King Bavaria bids farewell to the troops at Munich ; German marines exhibit their skill as marksmen ; the Scutari detachment of the German forces arrives at Vienna and is welcomed by the Austrians. The supporting films of this most original programme are all of a high standard and should attract a bumper bouse. On Saturday night the ninth series of that very fascinating and interesting picture “Lucille Love” together with a magnificent Nordisk drama, “A Woman’s Way,” will be screened.
