Lilt Largin, ‘‘The Weakling,” like the other men of the mountains, is in love with the lady teacher, Litt’s brother, Dave, is forceful in his manner of showing it. Litt, on the other hand, shows a strong streak of cowardice in many of the stirring events which occur, but he has au intensely interesting personality. The programme lor Monday evening promises to be one of the finest productions ever presented to a Foxton audience. The great love tragedy of Antony and Cleopatra is well known to many, and needs no recapitulation, but the gorgeous setting of this modern miracle of picture art is admitted by one and all to be the greatest cinematograph play ever produced. On other occasions picture patrons in this town have witnessed this story in an abbreviated form, but have never yet seen it in its magnificence as they will see it on Monday night. In connection with this great historical drama, one cannot help remembering the words of the poet Goldsmith, viz : “When lovely woman stoops to folly, And finds too late that men betray, What charm can soothe her melancholy : What art can wash her guilt away ?’’
