BOWLING.
A pairs tournament wa-s played, under the auspices of the Shannon Bowling Club, on Anniversary Day, players being present from Palmerston North, Terrace End, Foxton and Levin. Rain fell when the fourth round was being played and as Rnowles and Roach (Shannon) and Hancock and Sinclair (Terrace End) bad the most win= to their credit at this time, the final will be played between them on a date to be fixed, Foxtoa was represented by two teams, Rimmer and Hislop (s) and D. Whibley and Spring (s). The following is a record ot the games played by them, the Foxton score being given first in each instance : Rimmer and Hislop 23 Hodgins and Morris (Palmerston) s Snell and Sutton (Terrace End) , 5~ 11 Cunniu{?fiame and Sollett (Terrace End) 14—16 D.
