MUNICIPAL PICTURES.
The pragramme tor to-morrow night is one that should draw a bumper house as the star film, “Mabel at the Wheel,’’ is one that features two of the most popular cinematograph performers, viz., Mabel Normand and Charles Chaplin. Both of these artists have won their way so much in public esteem that it is only to be know that a film is to he shown in which they are pe-forming to ensure an enthusiastic audience. The play is brietiy described as being the loudest and heartiest laugh on earth, the most blithesome, breezy, boisterous and comical effusion that ever compelled wildly hilarious laughter. The other items of the programme will be : —“The LatestGaumont Graphic,"’ topical; “Breeding French Horses, ’’ industrial ; “Re-laying a Railway,” instructive ; “The Burden,” drama ; “Bunny’s Scheme,” comic ; “Free Lands of Harney,” scenic ; and the evergreen dramatic legend of old China, “The Story of the Willow Pattern.”
Special programmes have been obtained for Thursday and F'riday nights. The star film for Thursday night, “The Knockout,” is the lunniest fight on earth refereed by the inimitable Charles Chaplin, on behalf of Keystone fatty, “The White Mope,” guaranteed to produce an endless whirl uf genuine mirth and hearty wholesome laughter. The other items will be ; “Bathe's Gazette,” topical : “Sparrow of the Circus,” drama ; “On the Maritime Alps,” scenic ; “A Bair of Cuffs,” drama; “Wireless from the War,” comic; “Battle of the Weak,” drama ; “Retreat from Antwerp,” \var topical. For Friday evening the star trim will be, “One of our Girls,"’ the latest and biggest success uf the famous players of New York, lecturing Hazel Dawn who recently scored at New York one of the biggest successes ever known on the legitimate stage. This feature film is nearly 5,000 ft in length and has drawn big houses wherever it has been shown.
Ou Saturday night the star film will be, "The Social Ghost,” supported by a first-class lot of other pictures.
