HIGH COMMISSIONER’S REPORT. The High Commissioner cabled on Tuesday afternoon as follows ; The Manila market is quiet on account of the holidays. There is less demand, but shippers are firm. No change in prices. The output for the week was 26,000 bales. The estimated output for the next two weeks is 45,000 bales. Dealers are baling hemp before grading law comes into force on xst January. The New Zealand market is more active, especially for spot. Prices are firm at last quotations.
