BOWLING

The Manawatu Centre has arranged a rink tournament to be played on the Terrace Find green on January ist and 2nd. Practically the whole of the clubs in the Centre, and some outside ones, will be represented, so some good games should result, Foxton will be represented by one rink comprised of F. Whibley, McColl, Nye and Rimmer (s). Foxton has issued a challenge to Shannon, holders of the Dixon Cup. Daunevirke had a challenge in before the local club, and their match will therefore be played first. If the Shanuonites are successful in defending their right to hold the trophy, the next match will be .between Shannon and Foxton, on a date to be arranged.
