BOROUGH TREASURER’S REPORT.
The Borough Treasurer’s report submitted at Monday night’s Council meeting was as follows: — “I have to report that the following amounts were received during the past month, and placed to credit as under:—District fund account 19s 6d, and for cemetery account £2> 10s. The balances at the Bank of N.Z. as per pass books are : District fund, credit ~£842 19s 4d, and cemetery account, credit, £5 8s 3d. The positions of the various ledger accounts are as under: —Cemetery account ,£5 8s 3d, contractors’ deposits £4, gas works 7s 6d, general ,£69 17s id, Whirokino bridge loan ,£l7 17s 3d, roads and streets loan ,£69 13s 6d, Shannon bridge loan ,£l6 13s 7d, Council Chamber and Public Library loan is, Whirokino bridge additions loan £7 6s 2d, roads and streets loan No. 2 £26 193 Bd, gas works loan ,£SO 10s, library ;£n 4s gd, reserves ,£l4O 13s, sanitation £l4B 11s id, Town Hall picture account £39 14s gd. all in credit, totalling -£1,251 17s gd, and Beach road loan £3O gs 3d, Town Hall ,£398 os gd, and imprest cash £lO, at debit, a total of £438 los 2d.
